When a company replies to your application on Get on Board, the conversation doesn’t get lost in your inbox — every message lives inside the application it belongs to. Here’s where to find messages from companies and how to reply.
Where your conversations live
Open Your applications from the left menu (at /applications). Each application has its own Messages tab where the full conversation with that company lives. Unread messages show a count badge, so you can see which conversations are new at a glance.
How you’re notified
When a company messages you, you’ll get an email notification, and the message also appears while you’re using the site. If you already opened and read the message, the email notification is skipped.
Reply straight from your email
You don’t have to log in to answer: just reply to the notification email and your response posts back into the conversation. You can also reply from the Messages tab as usual.
Editing or deleting a message you sent
You can edit or delete a message you just sent for a short time after sending it. After that window, it stays as part of the conversation.
A few things to know
- You can message a company once you’ve applied.
- If you withdraw your application, it leaves your active list and the conversation becomes read-only — treat it as closed.
