When you want to step back from Get on Board, “unsubscribing” usually means one of two things, and they’re easy to mix up: stopping job emails or deleting your profile. They’re separate actions with different effects — here’s how to choose.
Stop getting job emails
Turn off the Notify me of new jobs option, or use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of a job-match email. This stops job-match emails. You’ll still get essential messages — like login links and updates about your applications — because those aren’t promotional.
One thing worth knowing: turning off “Notify me of new jobs” also hides your profile from company searches in the Talent Database, so companies won’t find you there to invite you. Keep that in mind if you want to stay discoverable while getting fewer emails.
The one-click “Unsubscribe” button your email provider shows appears on job-digest and blog emails, not on essential account messages.
Delete your profile
Deleting your professional profile is permanent and immediate — there’s no grace period. It removes your applications, CV, and data, and you’ll get a confirmation email. Use this only when you’re sure.
