How do I add a video or portfolio to my application?

When you’re applying to a job on Get on Board that asks for a video or a portfolio, here’s exactly what you can attach and which links are accepted — so your application goes through on the first try.

Adding a video

If a job asks for a video, add a YouTube link (youtube.com or youtu.be). Only YouTube links work — there’s no file upload, and other video sites aren’t accepted.

Adding a portfolio

If a job asks for a portfolio, paste a public URL to your work. A few links are rejected:

  • LinkedIn URLs — use the dedicated LinkedIn field for those, not the portfolio field.
  • Private or cloud-document links (like Google Drive or Notion pages) that aren’t publicly viewable.
  • Placeholders like “I don’t have”, “n/a”, or a single dash. Enter a real, public link instead.

These links are saved to your profile

When you add or edit your YouTube or portfolio link in an application, it’s also saved to your profile — so it applies to your other applications too. If you update it for one job, expect it to carry over to the rest.
